This bird is the largest hornbill in the world. It also walks on the ground as it feeds on insects, reptiles, frogs, small mammals, fruits and seed. They live in groups of 2 to 8 individuals and are co-operative breeders. They are classified as vulnerable due to a rapid population decline in recent years.
